Eco-friendly Water based Organic Field-Effect Transistor Using Micro-emulsion and Simple Elimination of Surfactant

In this study, organic field effect transistor (OFET) was fabricated using PTDPP, PBTTT-C14 organic semiconductor, and anodized AlOx dielectric. In the solution process, the use of organic solvent was minimized using water-based solution dispersed using Surfactant such as SDS, C16TAB, and TritonX. A small amount of organic solvent is used to dissolve organic semiconductors, but the organic solvent is completely removed in the process of dispersing them in water, and the solution process can be prepared in advance by storing them in a water-based solution. The eco-friendly water based OFET developed through this research maintains stable FET performance similar to devices using existing organic solvents, while minimizing environmental pollution in the future and can be applied to various wearable electronics fields.
