Microplastics have been a subject of global research due to their potential environmental and health issues. Microplastics that are found in oceans, rivers, soil, and even air, can be further oxidized or broken into smaller nanoplastics by sunlight, collisions, and friction. The nanoplastics have a greater risk to human beings and environment. We report amphiprotic magnetic scavengers for fast and easy elimination of hydrophilic and hydrophobic microplastics.
