In this study, the effects of surface-modified cellulose nanofibers(CNF) on UV cured acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive(PSA) were studied. CNFs are eco-friendly fillers which can improve mechanical properties of PSA, and to improve the dispersion of CNFs silane modification was conducted. The modification of CNFs (m-CNF) was confirmed using SEM, FT-IR, and contact angle measurements. The dispersibility enhancement of m-CNFs was also investigated by scanning electron microscope and polarization Microscope. The m-CNF/PSA composites enhanced the adhesion, thermal, and mechanical properties according to CNF and m-CNF content of 0.05 to 1 phr in PSA. In addition, transmittance was measured through uv-vis to check the transparency of the adhesive film.
