Stretchable electroluminescent devices have drawn a lot of interest because of their driving innovation in potential applications, such as functional and wearable electronics, displays, soft robotics, etc. However, designing a network that is stretchable, conductive, and transparent is still a challenge. In this work, we prepared a highly transparent and stretchable double-network ionic hydrogel as a soft electrode. The chemical structure of covalently crosslinked soft network improves the ionic conductivity and transmittance of ionic hydrogels. The rigid chitosan network structure guarantees the flexible mechanical property. Using this hydrogel as electrodes, highly stretchable electronic devices can be developed, promising for the applications in soft electronics and wearable devices.
