Since early reports on encouraging charge carrier mobilities, organic field-effect transistors have been extensively studied for the last two decades. The main advantage of organic field-effect transistors can be the realization of lightweight and flexible logic devices in the flexible electronics era. Among various organic materials, conjugated polymers have been considered a top priority for achieving real flexible organic field-effect transistors regarding the intrinsic toughness of polymeric materials. Unfortunately, however, the charge carrier mobility of organic field-effect transistors is actually lagging behind the guideline values for commercializing logic devices. This limitation diversified the research direction of organic field-effect transistors toward various applications including sensors, etc. In this presentation, n-channel organic field-effect transistors with polymeric triple layers, which can act as a thermal sensor in the low-temperature range, will be discussed.
