The poly (ethylene-co-butyl acrylate) (EBA)/carbon black (CB) (EBA/CB) composites was widely used in cable applications because of outstanding processibility of EBA and electrical properties of CB. However, a large content (> 40 wt%) of CB was needed for sufficient electrical conductivity of the composites due to serious agglomeration derived from intermolecular interaction between CB particles. To solve this problem, hybrid nano carbon is applied as MWCNT with excellent electrical conductivity. Also, highly dispersed MWCNTs in matrix enhance the electrical conductivity by bridge effect between CB agglomerations. Therefore, even if only 20 wt.% of carbon nano filler content is applied, it is superior to the existing performance. Furthermore, the electrical, mechanical properties of the EBA/MWCNT/CB composites were significantly improved by blend with LDPE as a second conducting filler.
