From the perspective of green chemistry, deep eutectic solvent (DES) is remarkable since it reduces or replaces the use of hazardous substances or volatile organic compounds. In particular, polymerizable DESs are advantageous in designing sustainable polymer materials. In this presentation, we have designed hydrogen bond donors and hydrogen bond acceptors, which afford new polymerizable DESs, and demonstrated de-bondable adhesive thermosets. Thus, various substrates could be glued using the thermosets, as similar to common polycyanoacrylates, but readily separated in response to a chemical trigger when no longer needed.
