Synthetics and characterization of di-alkyl-quinoxaline based OSCs.

Recently, many type of D-A alternating Organic Solar Cell are developed. But for several years, the efficiency of OSCs has not been improved. To improve this, we developed a new type of Doner to absorb a wide range of wavelengths than other OSCs do. In this study, quinoxaline based Doner with 300~600nm absorption wavelength was synthesized to supplement for Y6 which has 500~100nm of absorption. One of them, p(BDTT-TfQT) has one fluorine in mainchain and two alkyl chain on side chain. It shows the absorption wavelength in 350~650nm and shows two maximum absorption at 573 and 589nm. The calculated bandgap was 1.83eV and the HOMO/LUMO level from CV was -5.28/-3.45eV. The film was made with 1:1.5wt% of PC 70 BM and 1:1wt% of Y6. PC 70 BM+0.5 vol% CN blends shows a maximum PCE of 4.64% and Y6 shows a maximum PCEs of 6.77%.
