Cell behaviors are highly influenced by the culture environment. Controlling the softness/hardness of the substrate is one of the key components of studying cell behavior in vitro. As a soft material, hydrogel is a good candidate to mimic the extracellular matrix (ECM) structure because of its properties similar to biological tissues. In this research, we have modified the cell culture substrate by using the dispersion of fibrous hydrogels to guide neuronal cell activity. The neuronal cells were cultured to observe their behaviors on the modified surface. The different concentrations of hydrogel dispersion were used to investigate their effects on cellular morphology and mobility. We observed an interesting cell movement on this fibrous hydrogel coated systems, and this will be a good candidate material to accelerate neuronal development.
