내용
Mechanoluminescence (ML) has shown potential for sustainable future technologies. However, the classical ML materials have shown broad emission spectra and limitation in the choice of colors so far, constraining the full-color implementation of ML. Herein, a quantum dot (QD)-in-mechanoluminescent matrix (QMM) architecture is introduced by simply incorporating QDs in the classical ML matrices. The QMMs exhibit distinctive green and red lights identical to the feature of QDs via mechanical stimuli, achieving the purest ML and wide color gamut reported to date, and allowing for the purest white of ML reported to date. We demonstrated that the ML operation in QMM is an ML-stimulated photoluminescence (PL) mechanism. Moreover, the QMMs exhibit excellent stabilities in various environments and the patterned system is rapidly prepared from easy processability. This simple QMM strategy suggests practical insights for the development of powerless ML display and lighting systems.
