Spherical colloid arrays are widely used in devices such as micro imaging systems, 3D light field cameras, sensors and displays, light emitting diodes, and sensors due to their optical/physical characteristics. A conventional method for fabricating a spherical colloid array is colloid lithography. However, since the colloid array prepared by colloid lithography covers the entire substrate, it is difficult to form an array only on a specific portion of the substrate. So, we developed a technology that can produce a spherical particle array based on a master mold. However, in order to fabricate an array only in selected parts using this technology, a master mold must be manufactured each time. To overcome these limitations, we developed a process for selectively transferring a micro-spherical particle array to a desired location using a curable support with a channel structure. The developed process allows structures to be formed only at desired locations, rather than the entire area of the film.
