내용
To develop advanced optical information storage inks, a cyanostilbene-based liquid crystal monomer (CLCM) was newly synthesized and mixed with conventional nematic monomers and blue light initiators (if necessary, a chiral monomer is added). The prepared inks are shear-coated on substrates, which induces the uniaxial orientation of LC monomers. The photoisomerization behavior of CLCM under UV light causes changes in phase or helical structure, which results in different optical properties. Subsequent blue light irradiation can fix the UV light-driven different states. Eventually, the optical properties of the developed inks are controlled by UV light, and then fixed by photopolymerization with blue light. Utilizing the proposed inks, smart optical information storage and anti-counterfeiting code are successfully demonstrated.
