OCA is applied to each layer of the display to prevent the light scattering and is a component that firmly fixes each layer. A display form factors diversify to improve user convenience, the need for OCAs with excellent flexible properties as well as high adhesive properties has emerged. It was confirmed that resilience is one of the important factors in the flexible properties of OCA, and it is proportional to the storage modulus. However, if the storage modulus is too high, it causes deterioration of adhesive properties, so research has been conducted to develop OCAs with excellent adhesion and recovery. In this study, we tried to solve this problem by inducing microphase separation at the same time as the polymerization of the acrylic polymer constituting OCA to make heterogeneous PSA by using the polymerization-induced microphase separation phenomenon. Based on the rheological and morphological studies of the prepared microphase-separated OCA, the adhesive properties, restoration, and elongation properties were understood.
