The performance of perovskite solar cells (PVSCs) is most affected by the crystallinity of perovskite (PV). Among several conditions, the interfacial properties between the charge transfer layer and the PV active layer, where the PV crystal structure begins, are also one of the factors that have a great influence. In the p-i-n structure, the crystallinity of the PV layer is affected by HTLs, but there is few studies related to Eloss analysis about the PV depending on HTLs. In this study, Voc differences according to HTL were explained through Eloss analysis. While PEDOT:PSS and NiO have similar energy levels, significant Voc differences are observed. Our Eloss analysis clearly showed that this Voc difference originated from a nonradiative Rrec. The PV film on NiO has a larger size and improved crystallinity than the PV film on PEDOT:PSS. Therefore, it was concluded that the increase in Voc in PVSCs with NiO HTL was due to a decrease in nonradiative Rrec induced by improved morphology.
