Human beings have faced severe environmental pollution in recent decades. This study provides a method for preparing a metal nanoparticle catalyst using a carbon molecular sieve as a support in order to reduce nitrogen oxides among numerous air pollutants. Carbon molecular sieves with high porosity were synthesized by ion-exchange resin precursor. The precursors were carbonized at 900℃, 1 h, and N2 flow conditions using ion-exchange resin precursor, followed by porous carbons synthesized by chemical activation. After chemical activation, the transition metal ionic compounds are doped into the carbon molecular sieve. As a result of the TEM image of the catalyst that had undergone reduction treatment in the H2/Ar condition, the average diameter of the transition metal nanoparticles was doped within 10 nm.
