Most hydrogels have low adhesion strength and lack of stretchability, limiting their use in various body parts. We synthesized a TPGDA-DOPA crosslinker (TPDC) and applied it to the hydrogel. By the hydrogen bond and hydrophobic interaction, AA-TPDC-PVI hydrogel is contracted. Especially, aggregation of TPDC exposed hydroxyl groups to the hydrogel surface of the AA-TPDC hydrogel. So, the hydrogel exhibits good wet tissue adhesion. Imidazole can form a complex with metal. When spraying zinc solution to hydrogel, an imidazole-zinc complex was formed, and the cohesion of hydrogel increased and the adhesive force decreased accordingly. The hydrogel can be applied to the cyclically loaded area with high adhesion and resilience through TPDC crosslinker. Moreover, when applied to the wound site, it improves wound healing by absorbing secretions and maintaining a moist environment.
