Preclinical translation of surface-engineered polymeric nanofibrils

Although electrospun nanofibers have been extensively explored as nanoscaled biomedical device for cell cultivation, pratical application of these materials has been hampered due to mesh-type appearance. We fabricated polymeric nanofibrils out of electrospun nanofibers and surface-engineered the fibrils so that they can be tailored for vairous clinical requirements. We herein introduced various surface-decoration stategies to fabricate engineered nanofibrrils and preclinical application of the device for biomedical application.
