Development of Bioinspired Metal-Nanomaterials for Therapy

Noble metal nanomaterials have been used actively in biomedical research field due to their biocompatibility, unique optical and physical properties in biological condition. Since almost diseases are complex system, the nanomaterials should be tuned by functional molecules with considering the pathological condition to improve the diagnostic and therapeutic efficiency. Here, I introduce the manipulating the bioinspired metal nanomaterials with functional biomolecules for application in biochemical sensors and molecular delivery. We designed the nanomaterials which response to specific biological conditions and changes their properties by bio-environment. We achieve the development of biosensors with high selectivity and sensitivity and manipulate advanced molecules carrier for using these smart nanomaterials. Altogether, I discuss how the nanomaterials can lead us to new breakthroughs in biomedical technologies. These approaches will be able to realize the smart health care system for overall patient health to help cure and treat.
