Ultraviolet (UV) curable electrolyte has received attention as a replacement of liquid electrolytes due to chemical stability. Flexible polymer electrolytes are fabricated by poly(ethylene glycol) dimethacrylate and methacrylamide based monomer. We are trying to make a polymer electrolyte with lithium cations directly attached to the monomer of the electrolyte rather than the lithium cation substituted of the polymer electrolyte due to the impregnation. Fluorosulfonyl isocyanate (FSO2NCO) was used to synthesize reactive FSI-type materials. This could expect a high ionic conductivity due to electron attractor effect. A polymer with a lithium cation has a hydrophilic group in the polymer matrix and can form a wide channel that smoothly moves the lithium cation. The isocyanate reacted with methacrylamide to form a urea structure. We studied the fundamental for Li battery. FT-IR, photo-DSC, TGA and 1H NMR spectroscopy are employed to characterize the electrolytes.
